The Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT) inherits the responsibilities of carrying out Uni-CV's mission in the areas of Exact Sciences, Technologies, and Engineering.

Thus, in teaching, it takes care of the development of the scientific and technical dimension of students, in research it promotes fundamental and applied research aiming to contribute to the country's development and, in extension, it provides services to the community in a perspective of mutual appreciation.

The mission of the University of Cape Verde's FCT is to create and disseminate scientific, technological, engineering, and cultural knowledge, according to international standards of excellence, in order to contribute to the sustainable development of Cape Verde and its competitive insertion in the context worldwide.
